Dear friends and family,
The joy that we feel in our hearts is hard to put into words! God is a restorer and redeemer of time, opportunities and everything that felt lost at one time.
A few highlights
We returned to Gambia in November and shortly after a few construction men arrived to help build a school warehouse that will hold the food and supplies we have been sending and will continue to send through containers. The project is almost finished, but more important than the building was building relationships with the workers that we hired. Pastor George, the contractor, has a gentle spirit and hires people that he ministers and mentors while working along projects. This created many opportunities to pray and minister to the Gambian men and we pray God will grow the seeds of love that have been planted.
We had the opportunity to visit Pastor George’s church, in a remote community with great potential for growth, as the congregation is young with many children to raise and disciple. We met sister Diminga, the widow that was blessed with a house last April, through Shared Blessings’ ministry. She shared with the church the testimony of God’s provision when her house was destroyed by the storm, and she was alone and abandoned by everyone. Because of this act of kindness, she gave her life to Christ and can’t stop talking about what God has done for her and her family, giving all glory to God! It reminds me of Matthew 5:16 “In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Children ministry
Our children in the school are being discipled and ministered to daily! Blessing is a young woman with a special anointing and her name fits her well! She is a Blessing to us and the children, to the ministry and the work of God in this nation. God has protected her and is restoring this young woman from circumstances that are too much to put on paper, but her faith in God and His power is why she is here today. She has a tender spirit and loves Jesus with a passion that is inspiring and contagious as she loves on the students with a love of a mother she herself has longed for.
Since coming to be part of our team, many of our children have received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and are being discipled and ministered to daily. There is a fresh anointing and outpouring of God’s power in the school – all to God’s glory! Please continue to pray for more workers with this kind of passion and love for Jesus and the children.
Growing God’s vision
The vision God gave us to start High School is becoming a reality as we are making progress in purchasing the land next to the school. This will enable us to build the classrooms and lab rooms necessary for expanding the school and to complete the education we are providing for our children. The plans for opening the School of Ministry in November, 2023 are also coming together and with that we will be able to see a generation of children discipled at Emmanuel Mission Center, K-Kingdom! Our God is amazing in planning, planting vision, growing our faith, and growing His Legacy in this nation that we believe with all our hearts it’s about to see the power of God being poured on abundantly! There is a hunger for God in the youth in this country, a generation of young believers that are willing to speak up and share their faith! We see opportunities to develop and be involved in youth camps, youth conferences and ministry in places where the Gospel has not been shared yet!
As you gather together this Christmas season to celebrate the birth of our Savior, please remember that there are people around the world that are missing this celebration because they have never heard of Jesus! Join us in prayer for God to reveal His Son through the power of the Holy Spirit to a world that still lives in darkness and has never seen His light!
Jesus is the reason we celebrate, and we pray you will feel the embrace of His everlasting love.
We pray that the Lord will bless you and your families most abundantly!
Merry Christmas to you and all your family!
