Sunday School
The school facility is open every Sunday for a Sunday School outreach program for the children in the community. Every Sunday, 40-50 children of all ages gather to learn about God’s love presented to them in different ways- worship, Bible reading and memorizing Bible verses, watching Bible Stories videos, and participating in open conversations about their faith and understanding of God.
We have seen amazing results through this program, children that we thought years ago are now in the bible School and serving the body of Christ in different capacities.
Heatwave Kids Club
Another way we continue to minister to the students is through after-school programs. We use creative and fun ways to bring the children in, through playing board games, arts and crafts, hands on activities that they don’t have access to anywhere else. Children can participate in a weekly discipleship program and continue to grow in their knowledge and faith in Christ.
Heatwave Youth Camps
Summer camps are very popular in Gambia, and we use the school grounds and facilities to organize teens and youth camps. Every year the number of children attending is increasing! We provide food and fun, worship and prayer services, and activities to keep them engaged and growing in the knowledge of God. Many give their lives to the Lord, experience the gifts of the Holy Spirit and their lives are transformed by the power of God. Their spiritual growth is visible from one year to another, and as they grow they become the volunteers and leaders of the next generation.
