Dear ministry partners,
Youth Camp July 2019
In our last newsletter, we mentioned the plans for a youth camp this summer and we are excited to have seen it come to pass! Because of your faithful giving, Shared Blessings sponsored the first Youth Empowerment Camp held at the school on July 25th-28th. About 200 young people attended, including children the leaders and ministry partners were able to bring from the villages.
Youth and staff slept at the school on sponge mattresses, ate amazing food prepared by volunteers, shared their stories, and gave testimonies of how Jesus changed their lives. In the midst of making memories and new friendships, they learned about the love of Jesus and many gave their lives to the Lord with healing and deliverance. Praise God!
Leaders Training Leaders
Throughout the years, we have organized several leadership trainings for our staff, pastors, and emerging leaders. This camp was a great opportunity for them to teach the principles and lessons they have learned to the next generation. We are excited to see the Gambians take leadership in reaching their own people. It is also very encouraging to watch them be passionate about the Great Commission and willing to do something about it. There is so much work to be done. There are also many opportunities to be Jesus to the lost and show them the love of God in action, just like Jesus demonstrated to us all.
School Graduation
The camp took place a week after the end of the school term and graduation ceremony. It was bittersweet to see the pictures of our kids graduating because we have known some of them since nursery school and now they are going into high school.
We miss our children with aching hearts and we are asking the Lord to watch over them, strengthen them, and grow the seeds of the Gospel that have been planted in their hearts. We are also desperately praying for Sol’s healing and restoration so we can be able to go to where our hearts belong: our children.
Thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your faithfulness in your prayers and generosity to support the work God has started. He will accomplish His will. Every tongue and tribe will hear the good news of the Gospel, every knee will bow to the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, to the Lamb of God, Jesus who sits on the throne and intercedes for us at the right hand of God the Father. Halleluiah! He is Lord of all!
Blessings to you and your family and may you all have a safe summer! Thank you for your support—we cannot do what we do without your partnership and prayers.
Much love,
Sol and Manuela Bah
